Both Marketing groups had different design ideas and campaign plans, I produced work mainly for group 1. Due to limited communication and unclear guidelines, I expanded on their ideas and made independent decisions to complete the work.
Design planning.
On 24th February, after attempts to meat both groups we agreed on a list of specifications to help Marketing communicate their requirements more clearly. I also shared past assignment examples with Group 2 to help them understand our capabilities.
Group 1 – Mik was contacting this group unsure of direct outcome.
Group 2 – Decided they wanted our input after 10th March as this would be when they had more direction.

Group 1
On 19th March I was becoming eager to create some development and after much prompting Group 1 decided that they would like:
“Instagram and Facebook before and after images. First image: a neglected deck Second image: a family enjoying hot chocolate on their clean deck with an outdoor heater. Text: “Decks aren’t just for summer. Then Tik reels same vibe, in video from.” – Group One Contact, Grace.
I had a long discussion with group 1 emphasising the importance of maintaining consistent branding, as Ash has made is clear there was no flexibility here. I made sure they understood they need to use copyright free images, so image selection would be based on availability. Overall, they were very open with the design process, essentially leaving the creative direction and content of the posts up to me.
Using the branding pack Ash had sent across I set about coming up with some ideas that would be cohesive with eDecks, whilst still feeling like a fresh campaign idea.
Instagram static development – Sad Deck/Happy Deck. “I deck isn’t just for summer”

This is my first draft before image. To create the feeling of a sad lonely deck I used an image of the summer chair – covered in snow. Hinting that it had not been used.

On this second attempt I tried using the orange from eDecks branding, however i felt it made the image too bright and could be more suitable for the after photo. The snow flakes also a new addition but too bold.

For this third attempt I changed the positioning of the split screen as I felt it had more of a hierarchical flow, reading the writing first and the image after makes more sense. Over all I think this feels more cohesive, the text contrast is better.

This is the after image I chose for the static post, I switched the the Orange for the background as it has connotations of warmth and happiness. I think used an image that look welcoming and cozy, an “ideal” winter garden. Helping to re-enforce that an eDecks customer could achieve this during winter.
I also removed the black/white filter that I used on the before post, as this shows the boring unused garden has come back to life.
I chose to use language related to winter joy – Cozy and warm re enforce feelings of comfort.
I was happy with these colour choices and branding so I decided to stick to them going forward.
Re-sized images for Facebook.

Facebook Cover Photo.

For my cover photo I had to ensure that I left space in the bottom left area, where the profile picture would sit.
Further developed Campaign Design approaches.

Here I have used consistent branding, but slightly altered the design choice to suite the needs of the particular platfroms, For example, the flyer includes a QR code for physical distribution and features more prominent text for readability. In contrast, the Instagram advert emphasises a larger image and includes a ‘Learn More’ button, which becomes interactive in an online context.
Banners for advertising online.

Working on these banners, I tried very carefully to consider visual Hierarchy and how this would feel on a webpage.
Group 2
We met with Group 2 and gave them many prompts to help guide a successful design campaign. Although Ella and Mik created a wire frame and facebook adverts, they later presented an AI-generated website that excluded our input and didn’t use and of thre eDecks branding. After that, we did not continue work with them.
